There’s something about festival season that just feels like a reset. Warmer air, music drifting through fields, outfits you’ve been waiting all year to wear. It’s where our community really comes to life.

Over the years we’ve realised it’s not just about the big names or the lineups. It’s about the feeling you get when you’re there. The people, the energy, the freedom to be a slightly more expressive version of yourself.

So instead of listing the obvious, we’ve picked five festivals we genuinely think you’ll love, whether you’re going for the music, the style, or just the experience.

1. End of the Road Festival

Dorset, UK

This is one that’s been on our list for a while and feels like a proper escape. Set in the woods in Dorset, it has a more intimate, immersive atmosphere that’s all about slowing down and getting lost in it.

The line-ups are always really well curated, with a mix of artists you love and plenty you end up discovering while you’re there. It’s the kind of place where you’ll wander past a stage and stay longer than you planned.

Style wise, it’s relaxed but still expressive. Lots of vintage, layers, and outfits that feel personal rather than trend led.

2. Wilderness Festival

Oxfordshire, UK

Wilderness is a slower, more thoughtful kind of festival. It’s still got incredible music, but it leans just as much into food, art, and wellbeing. We went here as a little honeymoon after we got married and we loved the mix of relaxation in the day with the lakes and then fun at night, the site is beautiful too set in Oxfordshire. One of the cleanest festivals we have ever been too!

Think long table banquets, lakeside swims, and mornings that don’t feel rushed. It’s the kind of place where you can dress up a bit more, experiment with your style, and still feel completely at ease.

Perfect if you want something a little more grounded but still have all the fun if you choose!

3. Green Man Festival

Brecon Beacons, Wales

Green Man has a completely different energy & has been top of our list to check out. Set in the mountains, it feels calmer, more connected to nature, and a bit more intimate than the bigger festivals. This will be one we check out with our son Riley in the coming years.

The line-up always leans slightly left of centre, which we love. It’s a place where you discover new artists rather than just ticking off the ones you already know.

It’s also one of those festivals where people dress for themselves, not for anyone else. Relaxed, expressive, and quietly confident.

4. Download Festival

Donington Park, UK

Download might not be the first festival people expect us to mention, but that’s exactly why it deserves a spot. We went to Download in 2024 and we loved every second, it was an absolute washout but that didn’t dampen our spirit we really made the most of it. It was actually one of the best line-ups we’ve ever seen and we made such great memories over the weekend.

We found Download one of the best crowds ever out of all the festivals we have been too.  There’s a strong sense of community and acceptance and everyone was so immersed in the music and having a great time at all ages, it was really special to see.

Style here is less about trends and more about attitude. If you’re into mixing vintage with something a bit tougher, or just leaning into a different side of your style, this is your place.

5. Shambala Festival

Northamptonshire, UK

Shambala is a bit different, and that’s exactly why we love it. I have been to Shambala twice and no doubt I will go back in years to come. Both times were with my girlfriends and it’s the perfect place for that.

It’s fiercely independent, full of personality, and has a strong focus on creativity and sustainability. There’s a real sense of community here, like everyone is part of something shared. We went all out with our outfits at Shambala & it was so fun to be so expressive and colourful without any judgement.

If you’re looking for something that feels a little more alternative and expressive, this is one to try.

The best festival moments are rarely the ones you plan. They’re the random conversations, the sets you stumble into, the outfits you throw together last minute that somehow just work.

Some of our happiest memories are from the times we spent together over the last 15 years at various festivals all over the world and we’re looking forward to showing Riley some of our favourites in year to come as he gets older as music & festivals are a huge part of our lives.

Wherever you are heading this summer we’d love to see where you end up too. If you’re going, tag us in your looks. Nothing makes us happier than seeing how you style The Hippie Shake out in the wild.
